Does anyone know where I can find a coal Conveyor for a flood loader or has anyone ever built one? It does not have to be functional. I just need it for looks.

All of the coal conveyors that I saw out in the coal fields of Wyoming, were enclosed. Thus you could simply use the appropriate diameter styrene tube (12 feet in diameter, maybe?) mounted between the coal washing building and the very tall flood-loading silo.
I built an open coal conveyor that conveys coal coming from a rotary dumper into a pit then up a screw-conveyor dumped into the coal conveyor that coveys the coal to a coal tower that dumps into another conveyor going into a Lionel power plant.
ALANRAIL, what did you use for the auger/screw? I have been toying with building one and have been unable to find a hefty enough auger that fits scale.
I found a toy augar and I powered it. By placing coal on the augar as it spins it gives the impression of lifting coal.
Isn't there someone who does sell and automated one?

I talked with the owner once. The web sight might still need updating, but call him and he can answer all your questions. Might even sell you just the belt for a static model.
OR you could buy a Lionel belt from a parts vendor. Or make your own rather the buying something.
