I am in the process of converting 3 MTH banks into a train station. I am currently not doing anything with the interior so I would like to make opaque the plastic inserts that come as part of the MTH windows. I would like some to appear clear as if looking at a closed curtain in a lighted room and some to appear dark as if curtain is drawn and lights are out. I know that I could used my Evans program but would prefer to use the inserts I have as they are already cut for the windows. I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks, Paul

I'm old school.  I use wax paper or satin trasparent tape over the window to make it opaque and then make curtains or shades with either masking tape or scraps of paper.

If it is an "industrial building" I may place some black construction paper to suggest some sort of machine behind the window and then "backlight it".  If it is a home, a little gauze from a surgical dressing can be applied to the tape to simulate lace curtains
