Anyone familiar with these compact power boards? I am testing them out before installing on the new layout currently under construction. They appear to be running very hot . They will operate 21 lights or accessories. They're supposed to operate three voltages. But only the the third board shown has a switch for 3, direct, and 12 VDC. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Familiar? In what way? I have some of the one in the back, what exactly are you looking for?
If those are too wimpy, consider adding a little beef to your power supplies, this one handles 5 amps.

Hi John, they are operating very hot. That was my concern. Come to find out, they require air space behind them for optium running. A member on another forum has been using them for 10 years with no problems.. To test them I laid them down flat. Not getting any air, they ran hot.
That is a nice power board you have there. I'll keep it mind. Thanks for the reply.
If you suck enough power through them, they will get hot. The key is "how hot". Air circulation is good, but bigger is better.
You provided no quantification of exactly how much power you were demanding from the supplies. Without that information, it's hard to make a judgment as to if that supply is sufficient for the load.
