Hi to all

Starting with the Industrial series of structures, and special thank to Conway Coal that donated the coal load, that is on top of the Ore car, I want to show you some pictures of the concrete coal dump.

The picture shows 2 rail version, but the design is for 0-27 tubular to GG track and ME 2 rails track. Sorry wasn't test with any other type of track.

Item will be in my website soon.

Andre,

The concrete coal dump looks great!  It reminds me so much of the one in Valencia, Pennsylvania where I grew up.  I remember the tracks on top, but it was out of use in the 1960s.  At some point the tracks were removed. Kids always liked to sit on the huge concrete bumper that was at the end of the dump right at the road grade crossing.  As almost everywhere in Pennsylvania, this was built on a hillside.   The road made a steep climb from the bottom level to the tracks.  This one had 4 or 5 bays, and over the years, they were used as storage or parking spaces.  As with anything, it deteriorated over time.  It certainly brings back memories.  I can picture yours right in Valencia.

Andre.

Andre,

That is the place,!  I grew up 1/2 mile from there if you continue over the crossing.  It was a little village and farm country.  Now they are building plans of houses all around that are more expensive than I or any of the natives could afford.  My parents still live there.  In fact, aside from 2 years in the Army, Dad has lived his whole life in the same house.  He remembers when that was a bustling coal business!  Thank you very much!

Andre's Coal Dump Bin and Weight Office has become an early Father's Day present from the Domestic CEO who last bought me a train item from Charles Ro for Christmas 5 years ago. She saw Andre's photos and remembered a similar, but long gone, coal facility from our hometown pre-WWII. Never know what interests a golf addict and figurine collector like her, but O-gauge is not in the top 10.

Andre's Coaling creation is one the most exciting structures for a steam modeler I have seen since I punted HO and tip-toed [back] into O-gauge in the early 1980s. Gonna need installation help from a very busy Son[and Father of two] due to my hand tremors. But will git er done on the Village side of the 9x16 round the room attic layout this Summer.
