How would I supply electrical to a Woodlands Scenic structure using a fastrack layout? Woodlands Scenic appears to have a proprietary lighting system as does Lion Factrack.

1. What type of current (AC or DC) and at what recommended voltage setting does the WS structure operate at ? (MOST ARE 16-20 AC volts).
2. What type of transformer are you currently using for your Fastrack layout ?
Another question would be: why do you want to wire a building to the Fastrack?
I would keep the accessories on their own power source, and have your trains run off your transformer ( or wall wart). The Woodland Scenics power source is rated for 24 volts, and can light several of their buildings on hubs that can be added. Lionel does have their “plug and play” option, using a special track section. If you run your trains with a normal transformer, most have accessory outputs that you can use for a few accessories as long as you don’t exceed the output of the transformer.

Like was aid above, many AC transformers have separate AC outputs for accessories. You want to keep the power to your track separate from the power to your accessories. You can run the accessory power to a terminal block like the one pictured below and then run wires to each of your accessories.
You do not need to use the WS "just plug" system to operate your WS structure. You can connect AC wires to the building input from your transformer outputs or the terminal block as long as they are within the recommended operating range of the structure.

We just used the woodland scenics lighting system on our layout and it worked great. Using various hubs we have a single on/off switch that turns on all of the buildings and vehicles on the layout, and it just needs one plug to power all of it. I would just do that, it is a really simple system that even I was able to figure out. I run Legacy with fasttrack, but can’t imagine it would be an advantage to integrate the two systems.
