Our club (Railroad Club of Carolina Lakes near Charlotte) is building a new layout which we set up and tear down each December for our community to visit. Need recommendations on connectors for the power wires to disconnect between modules. There seemed to be multiple choices back in 2013; we need something that will hold up from year to year. Traditional transformer operation; one Lion Chief, may add more. Three mainlines, two switches for turn around at dogbone, some accessories with push buttons for kids. Perhaps remote control (TMCC or DCS?) in future.

Anderson  powerpoles,  hands down the best going.  Asexual, 12 colors, any connection configuration.  Best website is Powerwerx.com.  Been using them for 15 years.  I always keep a nice assortment.  Buy their crimper.  excellent investment.

This is the default standard in Ham Radio circles.  Ham Radio stocks them in their stores.

I use their 15,30,45 amp housing.  That is a one size designation.  Three different crimp  on ends for which ever wire size you are using.

Powerworx will sell you an exact size/color  count on any order.  great product, great vendor.

The photo below is a wired lift out with power supplied to the last 3' of each R.O.W, on each side of bridge.

Note male dummy plugs on each end.  just to provide a larger body for my ham size fists.

Magnets to hold the lift out in place.  Brass dowels to index set the bridge.
