I have my wiring set for one half of my signal block and have set it up for a test run. I seem to have run into a little issue though.... I am using a 12v dc SPDT coil style relay with a ac/dc rectifier bridge. I am running conventional controls on my layout. As you can see in the video the red light works fine through the schematic but since it only takes about 4-6 a/c volts to make the train move, when it gets to the block the voltage isn't high enough to trigger the relay. In order for the relay to switch I have to have 12 volts on the track which would make my engine go supersonic. Any ideas would be helpful!

The ground from your insulated rail (control) goes to the oher connection on your relay.  You have a recifier connected to it; the DC ends go to the relay; the AC end to to your fixed voltage and your control rail. Are we using the same transformer to run the train and operate the signals??  If so, this should work.  The relay will operate independent of the track voltage.. So even if your engine was creeping along, the signal will work.  How long did you make the control section??  Usually they are one train length to the next signal...
