I own a DCSMTH’s TIU & AIU units; I have had issues with my connections, using two power blocks to provide power to two independent runs (using fx’d’s connects on Input side as well on the out put side.  Now, I would think in that manner that I would be able to identify the PS2 engines that I have placed on the independent tracks – I can find w/remote control, the newly (converted) PS2  engine and road name on track #1,  it runs when I start up the engine and then send it on its way.  When I attempt to identify the other PS2 engine onto trk #2 which at early before the new convert PS2 appeared, it was listed on the screen as on #1 and ran. But, now I chose to use trk #2 and I mentioned that Trk #2 it’s connects are fx’d input and output. Power comes onto the track but the engine won’t wake up when I click onto the start up key.  I feel that I must be missing a procedure in order to run correctly.  I need someone to slap me on the back of my head and wake me up to find ‘what am I to do’ THANKS

Chuck,

Lets go back to getting you set up correctly 1st, I suggest you purchase the OGR

DCS Video guide and Barry's DCS O Gauge Companion 2nd addition, watch and read each.  I really believe you may have made a mistake some place setting up your DCS layout.  If both your engines work on Trk#1 they would also work on Trk #2 if everything is set up correctly.    Also I always recommend a programming track

for programming your engines individually before putting them on the layout.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for responding, I appreciate the input, I have once identify both PS2 engine on one trk, now I'm attempting to do the same or just identify one PS2 on the 2 trk. this #2 trk has been rework, rather rewired and before I had it wired to control conventional engines and DCS engines, now I wish to just have PS2 engine on this #2 trk.  that's all And for now it doesn't recognize the PS2 I work to identify. do I make myself clear. I do not wish to be redundant.
Thanks

Chuck,

I say again, purchase the OGR Video Guide and watch it, Rich Melvin does a great visual job of teaching, how to set up and use the DCS, purchase and read

Barry's DCS O gauge companion.  Some how you are not set up properly, or the TIU is not functioning correctly.  If your P2 engine works on Trk #1 it should do the same on Trk #2, if you are set up correctly.  Try re-entering your engine on Trk #2

and see what happens, once you re-enter it.  Chuck you might also read Barry's latest post on the technique Phil has found to re-enter his engines.
