Hi all.

Just in the first planning stage. Gotta ask what hardware do you prefer to use.  I was thinking about a 6 gang rocker switch (similar to a single Calterm LED Rocker).  Yes, I do prefer the the Rocker vs. the toggle type.  I shall use about 25 or so total switches around the layout so I'm gonna need a bunch of controller's.   Please shoot me all of your idea's to me so I have some  plans to think upon.  OBTW, I prefer to use only the same brand of controllers.  Trying to comprehend everything slowly,  so as not to have to peat and repeat.  Any questions, please ask?  I do understand some basic wiring and simple schematics but I'm no double E.  Thanks up front for your help and ideas.

To kill power to single-ended tracks, I use SPST. For engine ready tracks, I use center-off SPDT, with one position for track power and the other for accessory power. The accessory power keeps the engine idle sounds going and the batteries charged. For double-ended tracks in the "division-point" yard, I insulated them into two segments in the middle, with a center-off SPDT in each half. Thrown toward the center, they get power from the panel rotary cab selector, and this is the normal position. Thrown away from center, they get power from the adjacent block. This allows me to switch the rear end of trains that still have road power attached. Presumably, I could switch both ends simultaneously, but I haven't tried to yet.
