John, thanks much for the video. Your link didn't work. Here's the link that works:

Electric RRs instructions for the Lionel 3469 Dump Car don't include controlling the couplers. Is the another ElectricRR instruction sheet that shows controlling couplers.
Thank for the updated link.
There was no instructions for the electro - couplers for the dump car. The two high powered outputs i'm using for the electro - couplers.
One of the low powered outputs i'm using for the dump though a relay (a diode across the relay coil for suppression and have resistors to reduce the 9 volt output to the 5 volt relay).
John, this is awesome! I didn't know that anything like this Electric RR Co. kit existed. And I don't have any remote system like TMCC/Legacy anyway. But I recently did something similar with small RF transmitters and receivers. I found that the electrical/magnetic noise (EMF) from the dump coil interfered with the RF signal between the transmitter and receiver. The symptom was that the dump feature activated for a split second, but then immediately turned off, then turned back on, then back off. This repeated. I had to move the RF receiver from the inside of the 3469 where you have yours to the top of the car near the brake stand where I made a small plastic box to house it. Did you experience any symptom like this? I noticed that in your video the dump feature doesn't stay on for very long and I'm wondering if this may be why. I know that the video is not great, but here is mine. I'm working on remote controlling a 6544 missile car also, but I've got a ways to go.

I used Lionel 610-9845-060 and added center pickup rollers and wipers .

I haven't had that happen. Are you using an Arduino?
rtb posted:Not Arduino. I'm using these from China radio frequency transmitter/receivers. I wish I had known about the solution you used before I started mine :-)
What frequency and how much are they?
Here is a link. $7.88 per set. 315 or 433.92 MHZ.

Sorry John. I didn't intend to hijack your thread. I was just enamored that somebody else was doing something similar to what I had worked on recently.
