If O-31 is to small and O42 it to large, you make up the above topic by using 3 sections of O43 and 2 sections of O31.

Start with a section of O42, add a section of O31, then another section of O42, add another O31 and finish with the last O42 curve and allows you to have an smaller 180 degree curve in less space.

Or use gargraves flex track to bend to fit.  You could use the inside of the 042 as a template for the smaller radius.  I have managed to even use the inside of 027 to create a smaller radius for a trolley return loop.  Once you get over the fear of creating a smooth curve, the process goes very smoothly.
