Check out the street markings (i.e., pedestrian crosswalks), store signs, overhead Red Cross signs, streetlights, etc. May be useful for those modelling the '50's.
The two biggest things everyone seems to forget (and subsequently models them incorrectly) are that stop signs haven't always been red, and street center dividing lines haven't always been yellow. Until the 1950's those center lines were white, and stop signs were yellow.
Thanks for that - I enjoyed it. I'll chime in too, about the daring maneuvers seen. The driver of that blue T-Bird must have had a death wish (assuming left turns were to yield).
