Jim, in the 50's and 60's, prior to ARCO taking over Sinclair there was a Sinclair gas station across the street from my parents house, the green was a dark shade. Wishing you and the family a Merry Christmas and the best in 2014.

Thanks, John.
Jim, do a google search for Sinclair gas station green color, some vintage gas stations are shown in color.

Doing that as we speak. Was hoping someone had a part number or formula.
If you have a sample,I matched colors at Ace hardware, they made Lionel creme for me in oil base gloss enamel, brush on. Thin and spray if needed. you can also get acrylic latex.

Jim,
Check MODEL TRAIN STUFF website, they have the O Scale Microscale Sinclair Gas Station decal set, two sheets, I purchased this decal set about 6 years ago, hope this helps.

Thanks, John.......have to get together and check out our layouts sometime now that you are a man of leisure.
I built this station and mixed my own green to match the decals. It's not exact, but it's close. It's a pretty dark green meaning you need to add black. I use Tamiya paints.
I replaced the fake island light with a brass tube and there's a grain of rice bulb in the top. If I would do it again, I might have used a 3mm Warm White LEDs. I glued the white metal reflector directly onto the bulb. The base also is the part of the original white metal lamppost that I drilled out for the tube. I also have a Miller Engineering florescent tube mounted just behind the front wall. It looks great with florescent light and very realistic.
Incidentally, the store window frames were warped and didn't fit the alloted space. And then they broke. I ended up scratch-building them in styrene.
Nice job, Trainman. I have a Miller Sinclair sign that I want to use in place of the standard sign.
