I have parallel tracks... north and south bound... can MTH's Crossing gates (30-11012) using a pair of ITADS (45-1228) be wired so a train coming from either direction, north or south track, activate the gates?

You'll need to cough up $5-10 for a relay. All explained in this thread.
Thanks Stan... I think I understand the wiring.... I know I'm being dense but when looking for the proper relay I'm overwhelmed and confused... can you tell me exactly what to buy (make model/part #) and where?

If you're looking for the closest exit, try the Azatrax relay which is $9.50 plus $8 shipping from what I can tell from their website:
Yeah, my ramblings in the linked threads can be confusing but, in my defense, reflect an obsession with finding the cheapest exit. 
You can do it for about $3 (free shipping) but it involves extra wiring, waiting several weeks for shipping from Asia, and using eBay which is not in everyone's comfort zone.
