For years I've wanted a firehouse for my layout, however no manufacturer has made one that I would like. My layout is meant to be 1910-1930, so their really aren't many options. Last month I picked up at the Allentown show four IHC O gauge buildings, one of them, the "apothecary" shop, has the right look fire a very early firehouse (large door like window and the single door to the right) so I got to work. First thing I wanted was a bell tower, so I built one using styrene, and trim/detail parts from Grandt Line. Here is the progress so far!  20240316_20135720240326_22003220240327_15204220240327_152100

Firehouse update, belltower painted, more trim added, new fire truck aquired (it just fits inside) all windows that survived being removed prior to painting were reinstalled. I am 3D printing new windows for the front, and have to fix some orange peel on the front as well. I also have "coach" style lights to install in front. I'm also looking for firefighter figures that would fit my time period, anyone have leads on where I can get some? I've only seen modern ones .20240404_16333720240404_16334620240404_163423
