I have learned so much from this forum in the short time I have been on it, I am going to attempt to share my latest add to our little 10x12 layout. We wanted to have diesel Sand Towers. Using Korber Models basic sand tower kit (essentially the left portion of the tower), I added structural beams, ladders, cages, railings from plastruct. I tried to copy photos of real sand towers. There are quite a lot of variations in these structures. I built a sand pit out of plastic covered with wood planks. And placed a small hobbylinc shanty over the switch mechanism (Still need to model a base for it and landscape of course. Anyway, just our little take on diesel sand towers.
