Customizing an RailKing 30-9098 Freight Transfer Warehouse
I recently acquired a RailKing 30-9098 Freight Transfer Warehouse. This is a very nicely detailed warehouse structure that can be adapted to different industrial locations on a layout. It is especially well suited for a truck to rail and rail to truck transfer industry.
The attached photos show the front and rear of this structure. One side has large "rollup" doors which would allow streetside vehicle entry. The other side has "sliding" doors and a raised wooden platform suitable for trackside loading/unloading activities.
This plastic structure can be customized by adding an interior floor and a small office on the streetside, a interior loading deck on the trackside plus replacement interior LED lighting.
