I had a CW-80 from a starter set purchased last year that I had been using for my guest bedroom around (& under)-the-bed FasTrack layout.  I had just gotten a CAB-2 & base several weeks previously and had been running LEGACY without issue.  The base was linked into the track using a different terminal track piece from the transformer.  The track is a simple loop, with no switches, sidings, or accessories.  Only one train has been run at a time. I was running a LEGACY engine (Polar Express K-4) pulling 8 Menards boxcars and a caboose.  The throttle was set around 90%-100%, as I was using LEGACY.  All seemed well, and then suddenly the green light on the transformer went out and everything stopped.  I tried removing the train as well as using a different engine, disassembling the track, and even plugging in the transformer alone, but it never seems to have power - the green light stays off.  This was/is true using multiple outlets around the house, so it's not a bad outlet or a breaker that needs reset.

As I don't see any type of "reset" button on the transformer, am I correct to assume it's not a simple fix?  Did I blow up the transformer and give myself the excuse I needed to get a Power brick several months early?  Was I inappropriately using the transformer, or would this still be covered under the warranty?  Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks.  I'll call Lionel & see what they can do.  I'd think the warranty would be good for at least a year after purchase. Had some issues w/the couplers on a couple cars in the set when I bought it, & they were repaired or replaced w/out issue.  If under warranty I'll have them send me a replacement & buy the power brick in a couple months.  If not, I'll just make my purchase early.
