I sent a damaged Lione CC2s to @Alex M a few weeks back and got a call from him this afternoon to go over what was wrong and what the options were.
I'm genuinely envious of the passion that Alex has for repairing these locomotives. From detailing the historical issues with those early Visionline locomotives, to the ridiculous complexity of the design, to how he determined what was wrong, to a video walking me through everything, to detailing my options and his opinions as someone who has repaired a LOT of this specific model....****. We should all be as enthusiastic about our jobs. It made my whole day.
Regardless of what happens with this locomotive, getting to meet and work with Alex has been a treat. His reputation here and with others in the hobby I respect is well deserved. *hat tip*
