DCS WIFI APP 6.1 UPDATE ANDROID. SHOULD UODATE?

Iirc, it was a lash-up issue. You must be iPhone, does the app store not give notes on fixes or patch releases?

The update is from version 3.2.1 to 3.2.2. The only thing stated in the "what's new" is bug fixes and enhancements.

I've installed it on a few devices and haven't noticed any enhancements or bugs yet.

Mine says the app update is from 6.0 to 6.1. Changes talk about the WiFi unit and using the app. It's wierd because version 6.1 was talked about in a thread here from 2017? Almost like this is really old and my phone just now is offering 6.1. Really strange. Works fine now on 6.0.

So I just looked at my app and it is version 3.2.1 like H1000 said. The odd thing is when I go to the update details it says it is taking me from 6.0 to 6.1. Something is really odd so I'm just going to stay away from it. My phone is really old (5 or 6 years) with outdated software so it may be going crazy Thanks for your replies. If anyone else has any info please chime in.

The TIU at one point required an update from 6.0 to 6.1 but the app has been at Version 3.x.x for quite a while now.

Thank you @H1000. I think I was reading the update wrong. I think the app update is saying I need 6.1 for it to work. That makes sense now. The 6.1 is the TIU version that is needed for the 3.2.2 version of the app to work. Sorry for my misinterpretation and thank you for the clarification. I guess I need to see what version TIU I have before I load the updated app. If the TIU needs updated I don't have a clue how to do that. I bought the TIU 5 or so years ago so hopefully it's at 6.1.

There is a good chance your TIU is already at 6.1.

In the app you can check the TIU version:
open the app and go to "More" in the lower right corner.
click on Advanced Features and then click on System Settings
now click on TIU settings and select a WIU model connected to a TIU.
lastly, there is an option to check the TIU version which will report which firmware is installed on the TIU.

@H1000, I did what you instructed but it tells me I need the premium app to view the TIU software version. I only purchased the middle grade of the app because I do not run legacy or any switches through DCS.

My TIU is a Rev L version. Do you or anyone else know if the Rev L was shipped with 6.1? I purchased mine new from Pats trains 5 or 6 years ago.

The release date for 6.10 is 10/06/17. Not sure when the Rev L released, but it's the newest. From what I can tell, it was a late 2010 release for that tiu.

Thanks Rod, that information helps. I know I purchased mine after that but not sure how long it was in stock. Was thinking I remember something about a certain connection port that changed on the newer Rev L versions and I think mine may have been one of those. Not sure though.
