H1000,  Thank you for the response sir.  I was not sure what the PS1 startup program actually did.

I will try what you suggested (I greatly appreciate your help).

So far, I have testing one PS1 locomotive ( a Premier SD45 demonstrator)  and failed to get it started using either the PS1 Startup program in the DCS Handheld or by using the Wifi Ap.  I only managed to get it running by setting the voltage in the WiFi Ap to 22 volts with the handle of the ZW down (at zero volts), then raising the voltage on the ZW slightly (below five volts), then hitting the direction button and raising the ZW voltage (until the engine was moving).  After that, I raised the ZW voltage up, then lowered the voltage in the Ap.  From that point, I could run the engine normally through the Ap.

By the way, all of the PS1 locomotives are equipped with BCR's.  The first thing I did when attempting to run the first on was to let it sit on the track at five volts to allow the BCR to charge.

I have several other PS1 engines to test with.  As I recall, some of them act a bit differently in terms of startup procedure.
