Can you release a handset for Legacy similar to the LionChief? Just a simple, stripped down handset for family, friends and visitors to run trains without charging an arm and a leg? Or is this just unfulfilled wishful thinking?

I'd love to see Lionel make the electronics for the locos available as an upgrade for the Lionchief.
Isn't the CAB-1L supposed to be coming out fairly soon and fits that description. A lighter featured legacy compatible remote? Basically a "Legacy Lite" remote???

Yes! I played with a pre-production version and it really is just about all I will need for my modest-size layout and fairly simple requirements. About the size of the older Cab-1 remote, which I find more convenient to hold than the Legacy remote.
