Rail Graphics in Illinois is one place.
He has a website.
Good luck.
Buzz,
Your experience as well as Tom's (Forty Rod) is apparently happening more and more. It has been my experience as well. I have two excellent sources. Contact me off forum for contact information.
I tried LBR but he stopped emailing me. I try the other recommendation.
Thank you
Me too.

Yeah. Me, too.
If you are looking for easy application and strong durable decals you have to use Microscale or MG-Highball graphics. The finer fonts are crisp and circles are even all around.
I like these for a non-decal look on the final result, the item will look like OEM graphics when finished.
Clear areas are not opaque like others. They also have an evenness in the larger white areas with no noticeable lines or dark spots.
These will also accept any setting solution or coating you apply to them.
Using and observing other products in the light will still look like decals were applied.
MG DECAL Jobs....
Forum members recommended Rail Graphics to me for custom decals. I then searched online, and found only praise for them.
Completely satisfied, and the owner "Ron" was great to work with.
(I've never tried another custom maker, I've only used Microscale decals in the past. So, that's the extent of my decal experience.)
Thank you all, I will contact the recommended dealers.
LBR sent me the pictures of what I was going to purchase, then all communication stopped. Kinda weird.
Then I see them on this Forum advertising.

Buzz,
It looks like he has more business than he can handle. Worth investigating, I dunno?
Yea I dont what happened with him. He sent me the proofs. The design work looked nice, I asked for some additional graphics and that was the last I heard.
He advertises on this forum, so I guess your right he may be too busy for my job.
I'll look elsewhere.
I wouldn't write LBR off so easily. We are just getting beyond the week of the Fourth, a traditional vacation time for many, plus since moving into O decals they have experienced some exponential growth. Give them a chance. i had a set made for my WBB 44 tonner after i painted it Brunswick Green, and they were beyond perfect.

Agreed. The quality alone will be worth the wait.
I'm not writing anyone off. A little correspondence goes a long way.
This is going on 4-5 months. If your having growing pains, let the customer know.
How hard is it to send an e-mail?
FYI -
Took 4 months to get a 10 day job completed.
Sorry, no endorsement by me, just too many excuses and product quality issues.
My order was a custom order. Im glad you received what you ordered.
I would just like some communication from LBR
I got Great Western custom decals from Rail Graphics in Ill., and they look good on
the loco. I had a qunatity of decals made some years ago for my fictional roadname,
and I still have many of those, from a place called After Hours Graphics in
Cincinnati, but I think they are long gone. If I need more or others I will go back to
Rail Graphics.

Resolved my issue: I got my money back.
Waiting now for my laser cut and custom painted sign.
"Forty Rod" Who are you working with - - - - "laser cut and custom sign painted?"
thanks - rdeal
rdeal, I just emailed the man who's doing this and asked his permission to give you his contact info.
I don't know if he's in business to do this or just a very talented guy who offered to bail me out.
I'll let you know as soon as I hear back from him.
Tom
I got the go-ahead.

Drop him a line with what you want and he'll work with you.
Should have my sign next week and I'll try to send pictures... assuming I can figure out what's wrong with my computer by then.
Good luck.
