Found a

MT-2132LP ELECTRO MOTIVE EMD BL-2 DIESEL ENGINE..

heard the bell and horn on Lionel..( not Legacy)

no information about Loco Sound, Proto sound or PS2...except in book referring to "protosound"( 1 1.5 ????)

So how do I look up what version it is..is there a web site..?

And how do I know what will work with my DCS ..

I do not want to spend the money and be sitting here with another "loco Sound" type engine that I cannot use with my PS2...

It's a Proto-1 engine, and an early one (1996) at that. Strictly conventional operation, just with sound and remote control of couplers and some other functions by manipulating the horn and bell controls. No interaction with DCS. If you can get it cheap enough, you can upgrade it to DCS (if you can find a kit; there's a waiting list a mile long). If you want a DCS locomotive rather than a project, I'd give it a miss.

Interesting, I just got this response when I emailed and asked about the club website.  Obviously, it's not working for everyone, including the administrator!

The link is at the homepage of our website on the menu on the left hand side. It is the link that says MTHRRC CLUB. You click on that and then on the next page you will see the words in yellow "Club Members Login." That is the link to log onto the club members portion of our website. Unfortunately, the club membership portion of our website has not been functioning correctly for a couple months now. Certain things have been having some small glitches here and there so it has been making it difficult for people to log onto the site, update their memberships, and purchase products online. I cannot even log on as an administrator to update any club member's information. Because of these errors, we have initiated a switch in Internet server providers where we will be introducing our brand new website. At this time, we are in the process of reprogramming, redesigning, and making the site more precise and easy to navigate. This should be completed by the end of next month. I am sorry to say that until then, you cannot log onto the club website.

John,

where did I say anything about an expired certificate?

Apologies for my mistake. Since that's what everyone else has been complaining about for the past several months, I incorrectly thought that that was the complaint on this thread. It was not.

When I had this problem a few weeks ago, I actually talked to Kristi directly and verified my name and password was correct, and she gave the same explanation as I posted.

It is extremely odd that anyone would know what your password is except you. I have never seen a service where its reps have access to customer passwords, although I expect that there's always a first time for anyhing.

If you really do know your login ID and password, why can I login and you cannot? You must realize how little sense this makes. Could it be that Macs are just plain smarter than PCs?

Have you tried using a different browser?

I actually changed it while I was on the phone with here, and it's saved in my password manager.  She doesn't actually know the password.  OTOH, since I have zero reason to believe my password manager is corrupt, and I have the password recorded in a text file, it's really unlikely that it's bad.  I tried IE and Firefox.

It's not a big thing for me right now, but I tend to believe them when the person that manages the site tells me it's having problems and I won't be able to log in.
