A pretty good example of why RRs are leery about Steam, just look at the folks leaning over the tracks as the train approaches.
First, the term "race track" is a railfan term. The Burlington employees referred to the three track main line between Chicago and Aurora as "The East End".
Second, 4449 has operated over that "East End" twice in her later career: in 1975 during American Freedom Train service, and again in 2009 enroute to the Owosso, MI Train Festival event.
