My problem is the boards are all .062" thick and 1oz copper.  For most of my small boards, I want the .031" thickness and the 2oz copper.  That allows me to have thinner traces for the same current capability, and thus easier routing of small dense boards.  When I switch the Digikey site to allow those parameters, the board cost rockets way up!

I hear you John. When I looked at the DK site you couldn't even select thinner boards and heavier copper for some reason. The tabs were there but they were grayed out and would not respond. I'll have to see if they have been made active now.

You can click the DEFAULT tab and enter your parameters.  However, those don't quality for their program, so they won't make them.

Note these aren't in the strait-jacket so they won't make them directly.

They show some other prices, not exactly what I had in mind!

For small prototype quantities, I'm still at OSHPark, and for larger orders, I'll go overseas.  With the overseas guys, I also get the boards in panels, makes them easier to assemble if you're going to manually build them.
