Anybody purchased this book? Any thoughts?

Forum member rrman has and he also read it, here are his comments from his thread on it. I have it on my wish list, but haven't ordered it yet.
I ordered a copy, only $14.00 from some guy in the UK. We will see...
Just spent a few hours perusing this book.
The "what" is very advanced, but the "how" is unique.
The author's concept uses building blocks called the Master Control (MC), interconnected by vast arrays of diode matrix and relay logic. The MC is basically a bidirectional "occupancy calculator" that uses four track sensors per block to accurately establish entry, exit and occupancy. To put it in perspective, One Master Control contains the following components-
1 4PDT latching relay
1 555 timer
17 resistors
5 transistors
12 diodes
6 capacitors
1 potentiometer
This publication is copyrighted, so I will not publish any excerpts here. Suffice it to say that the book is a study in performing complex logic functions without using any modern logic elements, and the author in his preface basically states that.
Interesting technical read; it covers a great number of subtle points overlooked in most signalling schemes, but I doubt that most readers will find DIY construction practical. Apparently, however, circuit boards and layouts are available from sources listed in the appendix.
A throwback to the old days. I'd have to do some thinking to build resistor/diode logic again.
I learned resistor/diode logic extremely thoroughly but never did much with it, I was pushed into the cutting-edge world of RTL. Cut my teeth on Motorola MC700P series stuff. Imagine, clock frequencies of 4 MHz! And plastic DIP packages!
I still have thousands of DIP package IC's of all flavors. I also have a Gardner-Denver electric wire wrap gun around here somewhere.
