The short answer is, it works but not ready for prime time.

See my post on 1/11/15 for back round.

I used a old Marx 6” car base, added a power supply from track power for the camera (9 volt DC).

The video looks better in person but still not that good.
It will be fine to have for the grand kids to play with.
After thinking about it,  its still amazing you can buy a baby TV station for $20.00.
The 5” monitor is pretty good. I ran a DVD movie to it and it’s not bad at all. I do see a drive in theater on my layout soon.

That's pretty much how it works for these cheap cameras.  I also picked up that 5" screen, it'll be a lot easier to carry to shows than the 19" monitor I was using!

I use the CM200 camera, I find it fits into more places.  I'm pretty sure the video quality is identical to the camera you have, I also have one of those.

Oldpa,

This is a neat project, a few questions please for when I give this a try:

1) Is that the bridge rectifier I see under the small piece of wood?

2) How big a capacitor did you use on the output of the rectifier- looks big?

3) what is that small black component to the right of the capacitor in the top picture?

4) I assume the white wire on top of the camera is the antenna for transmitting to the receiver next to the monitor / screen.

Thanks.
