I have an 18" trestle Junior Bridge similar to a #102, but with an open bottom. I don't use it on my layout.  I instead use it under my Christmas tree layout along with a Marx trestle bridge along the back of the oval to keep the window drapes behind the tree from interfering with the trains running along.

There was an article written several years ago in the TCA's Train Collectors Quarterly by Bill Mixon titled "What's A Junior Bridge?" that has several photos of these bridges and excellent information.  I don't know the year the article was written.  The article provides a web page with info on these bridges - binnsroad.co.uk .

I sometimes see these bridges for sale on the internet.  They are usually described as Marx bridges or unknown.  I will often contact the seller and let them know what they actually have.  Just another example of some of the lesser known accessories from the postwar period that competed with Lionel.
