I have a new Dremel 4300 tool and I'm considering buying the Dremel 670 Mini Saw.

I'll be using it to cut multiple strips of 1/8" to 1/4 " thick Basswood.

I've come across a nice set of plans on-line to make a small table saw using the Dremel tool and this will help in the making of consistent multiple strips.

I do have some Gyro circular saw blades of various diameters and I wondering what advantages might I gain by buying the Mini Saw attachment?

I know it does have a clear plastic guard so there is a safety advantage.

Thank you

The mini-saw attachment works great, especially if you need the portability aspect.

You might want to also check out the Rockwell Blade Runner. It's a "mini" portable table saw and uses jigsaw blades. It has a rip and cross-cut fence and miter gauge, so if you're looking to replicate a lot of cuts, this might be of benefit. It's also good for cutting custom-fitted pieces of track, like Fastrack. It also has a safety guard.

It's sold in all the box stores and maybe under different names. The only drawback is the price.
