I thought some of you might be interested in a history and global inventory of gauge and scale for toy and model trains. I wrote an e-book (downloadable .pdf) about that. Although this book is a worldwide overview it is of course subjective caused by my geographical background. A lot of stocktaking of gauges and scales is present on the internet, especially in tabular format. This e-book is more descriptive and has lots of pictures.
