Seattle is cool!
Going there today to pick up my MTH NP Northern. Can hardly wait to get it on the track. I've shopped there for years, and I keep going back.

I've only have positive experiences with these folks - if I ever make it out to their neck of the woods......Greg
hclarke,
Good Afternoon Sir. The doorman you spoke of, was his name Dan Olsen?
Eastside is top notch in my book. I go out of my way to support my LHS (Catoctin Mtn. Trains in Thurmont, MD) but when I wanted a hard to find item released about a year prior to my urge for ownership that Paul couldn't get for me, they were the only folks left with one and Johnny was a top notch guy that looks out for you. Not only was he able to get me a good discount but I believe he also split the shipping with me (very large and heavy box containing an MTH Railking Imperial Y6b Articulated steam locomotive set that included the engine, 4 hoppers and caboose). He literally went @$$ over head to help me out which I didn't ask for nor did he have to go out of his way like he did.
When I called back a month or two back to inquire about another item he had I was interested in that no one else had, he not only remembered me but also went out of his way to treat me right even though I opted not to buy the item. A GOOD guy!
Eastside Great store made to look like a train station, a regular stop for me and great service clean neat and well laid out. Good service dept and knowledgeable staff. Very nice little layout in front. Everything is stacked neat so you can see the product in rows on the shelves. Nice clean neat area of town.
Was in New York a couple of days ago at Trainworld different train store they have some of the best prices blowouts and fast internet shipping but not nearly the knowledgeable staff on issues with trains and electronics from my experience. Store display limited compared to Eastside though they have a huge warehouse. Location easy on Subway but not the nicest looking area more industrial!
They are a world class hobby store;comparable to the large dealers on the East Coast.

Great shop. Had them upgrade some Proto engines to Proto2 and the tech did a good job. Good prices too. Huge stock of 3-rail. Worth the trip. We make it up there 1-2 times a year from Portland.
