So I bought a MTH standard gauge 9e with the proto drive with the big pittman motor , so when I got it the protosounds were removed and a ac/dc rectifier was installed to run in one direction, my question is what kind of after market low cost reverse unit would work in this ? Dallee 4 amp? ERR? And maybe down the road to add sound? Any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks Ken

Yeh ADCX Rob......I second that suggestion.  I have purchased several of these "electronic reverse boards" from JDV Digital and had them shipped to me here in Australia. I have installed them in a couple of my Swiss 3 rail AC Buco engines, when their old (and now unobtainable) E-units fail.  They work a treat, and are almost bullet-proof (I did short one when the field coil wiring accidentally "earthed" on the metal yolk....but that is another story).

Peter.....Buco Australia

My 390e Lionel Classics e unit fell apart last night so reading what others have done is interesting. Funny about the Williams 9e as I have one and put the AC commander and sound board in it and it runs really nice! Better than it ever did before. Question is do you want a command control option or not? TMCC/Legacy can be addicting.
