i have sd70ACe that when you blow the hornat slow speeds the engine will stop and change directions. this is a legacy engine, and i am running it conv. if the power is at 18 volts when you blow the horn it will drop to 11 or 12, upon release of the horn it will take off real fast. have any of you had anything like this.

If you are in conventional mode and you operate the horn,

the track voltage should not change by very much if at all.

Your problem is with the horn control circuit in the transformer.

TMCC does not like DC on the track.When you operate the horn

button, the transformer puts a half wave DC on the track until the

horn button is operated all the way than just AC with a small DC

offset. If DC is on the track for any time, the engine will do mavy

strange things.
