Water tower don't look like it would hold enough water to fill the tender if a B6 switcher.
Kurt
Quite a work of PURE fantasy.
I cant seem to be able to reach his website. Any help would be great.
Kinda odd.......I'd need to make up a reason why it sets on the tracks?!?!?! To each his own!! After all we use 3 rail track!
Yup, Harry, I'd love to add yor website to the Scenery Sourcelist. Dave G.
Personally, I really like this water tower. It is over 2 ft. tall and the construction detail is superb. Nice Job Harry.
Is there a website where these kits can be purchased?????
This is a picture of Harry's other recent project.
It is based on the New York Shipyard Propeller Shop.
The building still stands.
This model contains 284 windows and is available built up or as a kit.
The kit contains about 21 casting not counting windows and is quite easy to assemble.

Water Tower can be purchased in Kit form or built up at The York Train Show this fall.

Harry can be reached by phone 856-625-5506... He has 2 Kits in stock..
The water tank is 3 1/2 inches in diameter and 5 inches high with a hemispherical dish bottom.
It will hold 22,000 scale gallons.
Enough to fill a big boy tender.
It is a kit so you can build it as a stand alone or to save on layout space use the base supplied in the kit and mount it over the track.

Well not if the particular UP 4000 class was empty, since their tenders hold 24,000 or 25,000 gallons, depending on the first or second order.
Also, that great looking water tank looks more like it should be in a small town, and NOT "mounted over the track". Filling the tender of just one really big tender would almost empty the tower, and then the railroad would have to wait hours for the water tower to be refilled. Railroad locomotive water supply tanks were generally OVER 50,000 gallons anyway.

Calm down Hot Water, as I said you can put the water tower any where you like.
The base can be used with or without the track.
If you have a classical LIONEL post war layout with limited space, by placing it over a track minimizes the foot print required.
Both the Propeller Factory and the Water Tower are on display at the
Toy Train Emporium - Cherry Hill, NJ
