I have the MTH two stall engine house, and a scale Big Boy. I was thinking about getting a single stall engine house to make one of the stalls longer so that my BB would fit, but I don't have the room on the layout to do so, and fit my coal tower. I don't need the full 24"length of the single stall added to get the BB to fit. Has anyone else added anything else to their buildings to get longer engines to fit, and if so, how and what did they do? I'd like some ideas and pointers please. Thanks.

Adding the trimmed MTH piece as an extender will get you the same brick size and building dimensions for a nice flow. I have an amateur cabinet maker/wood worker friend who has cut us some amazing pieces of buildings on his table saw. Way better then I ever imagined possible and way, way, way better than if I had attempted to cut them myself.
Korber extender kit.
This is a problem. I have looked at some of the engine house kits available, I think for On3/2 1/2, and thought I would have to put three front to back to house an MTH Russian decapod, and raise them up on new foundations, and maybe widen them. I only have room for a couple of engine houses, not a roundhouse with turntable in usual location.
I've thought about the Korber kit, but I need a pass through, and it's not long enough. I've also thought about getting the single engine shed from MTH and cutting to length, but I'd wanted to see one in person before paying for it, and my local shop doesn't have them. If anyone has both the single and double MTH sheds and photograph them together, that would help me some.
