I just as the saying goes 'paid thru the nose' for a DD Rocky Flats Depot on the bay. Does anybody know the original retail on this kit so maybe I won't feel so bad?

That's why I didn't pose the question here before I started bidding John. I did remember JDaddy and 1 other person looking for the building from a while ago. No sense in adding to the competition. I searched for the price but could only come up with that place where you have to become a member before they tell you what something sold for. Guess I could have sent DD an email asking the original retail but that didn't occur to me until after the fact.

Why ask what did it cost at one time, the question is what is it worth today ?
Curiosity. I don't know the mechanics of casting and marketing something like this but it seems to me that the demand for some DD O scale kits far exceeds the supply and it may be profitable to re release some of the older limited edition kits. I have close to 30 DD kits and still would like to have a few that are no longer made such as the engine house and the rescue mission that i was also bidding on but lost. I doubt it's worth what I paid for it but I wanted it so here it is. I think the site is called worthpoint where they had one listed as sold recently for........you have to join to find out.
It's either worth what you paid for it or it's worth what you can sell it for tomorrow.
