While a farm show in New York State Saturday with my dad I spotted a vendor selling toy tractors in a cardboard box spotted two Farmall F-20's one was about HO-scale size which was red and another was gray and was about O-gauge, even though it looks a bit larger. Got both for five dollars a piece unlike many other vendors were selling many other tractors in their packages for ten dollars or more depending on price and scale. Both models are Ertl I will add the gray one on my layout somewhere in honor of my great-grandfather who bought a Farmall F-20 to replace the horses they used on the family farm. Still find horseshoes from time to time while digging around the yard. The running family joke between my great aunts is the only reason their father got the tractor was so my grandfather did not have to use the horses. We still have the F-20 complete with saw blade attachment that was used for cutting firewood. She has not run in many years and needs a full restoration. I may repaint the gray F-20 red and change the tires out for rubber ones to match our tractor Still had a great time

Nice find! It's always nice when you find something meaningful to bring to your trains. I've got an ERTL Ford 8N because my dad had one until recently and an Allis Chalmers D-19 that I bought from a fellow forumite because my uncle who was a farmer had one that I remember riding on and driving as we visited on vacations.
Foggy head says there were F12, F14, F20 and F30 also.
From Wikipedia:
- 2-plow (14"): F-12, F-14, C, Super C, 140, 200, 230, 240, 404
- 2-plow (16"): Regular, F-20, H, Super H, 300, 340, 350
- 3-plow: F-30, M, MD, super MD, Super M, Super M-TA, 400, 450
I had a fantastic Ertl tractor collection growing up. They are still at my folk's house.
I remember the F-20. Bought it new at "Quality Farm and Fleet" and still have it in the unopened package.
Here's irony for you-I didn't live on a farm. My interest in tractors came from uncles who own Farmall and John Deere 2 poppers...

Where I live was where my great-grandparent’s farm was the house is long gone but the building where the milk tank was stored is now used as a shed.
nice find, need some of those myself.

Cool
Khayden,
Nice find, I like the tractors also, the 2 poppers are a very nice addition to your layout. I pick up the more modern stuff at Tractor Supply myself.

We also own a IH 656 that was my grandfather and now its my dad's. So I will have to check for one at Tractor Supply to add to the layout.
