we have a fasttrack silver bells kit and have tried to add a figure of 8 add on kit to it  but when the train leaves the loop side with the little transformer hooked to it  and cross the 90 cross the train stops  ,moved the feed line to the other side and it does the same . The add on has 4 5" isolator straights ,one each side of cross over . Any ideas when they would do this and can I just add normal 5 " straight s. Will that fix it. Or will it mess up the current?

thanks

Well, you can leave the wires connected underneath on the block tracks.

I would be inclined to suspect the 2A output of the included wall pack is insufficient for the expansion. That is one of the first questions asked by Lionel  support when troubleshooting the LionChief RTR sets..."Have you added any track? The wall pack was designed for the included track only"

Thanks Folks , yes it as the pins , I do not know why the 4  5" straight bits also have 5 inch isolator  printed on the bottom of all 4 tracks when in fact the rails do not have any breaks in them. that was  a confusing factor till i checked and they had no breaks ,  bent the pins and rechecked  ,now all is well ,also ordered a CW 80 transformer  to keep the current up. The Lionel help forks never said a word about the pins  maybe they should watch their own video.

thanks again ,Just starting out with my first train set up

Cheers

Peter
