How do I wire the animated Lionel Ice Cream Shop(12719) to fastrack? Thanks in advance for any assistance. Phil.

I would wire such accessories separate from track power unless there is some compelling reason to do it.

I was thinking about using the Lionel Accessory track to hook up the Ice Cream shop so the animation would happen when the engine goes by the track. Perhaps this isn't the right way to use the accessory.

Not a criticism,just not usually done with that accessory. Trackside accessory activation with relays and an insulated rail is shown here. It can be done without relays but I recommend using them. With a bit of alteration,you can isolate an outside rail using fastback.
