I have a switch that has been in use for over a year with no problems; an O36 remote command. Tuesday it would not throw either direction with the remote. It would just chatter or vibrate with the remote. All my Fastrack switches are powered at 13 volts with one handle of a Type V transformer for auxiliary power. Voltage checked out at the feeder. I took it out and tested it on the bench. I could make it work by holding the limit switch shut on the side that opens when when the switch throws and jumping from ground to either red or green on the controller wires. Same result both ways. As soon as I opened the limit switch the chattering reoccurred. Staring at the circuit board didn't help, either. No wires showed any bad connections. On a whim, I unhooked the command board. Everything now worked. I only use DCS, so I put it back on the layout, and it's working fine ever since. Just thought I would put this out in case anyone else might have or has had a similar problem. I was resigned to having a manual switch in a spot that I could only reach with a stick, so I'm back in business, other than the real hassle of removing it from the yard.
