I recently made a first time purchase of pair fastrack switches and I notice the lanterns don't rotate 90 deg each way when the switch is thrown (happnes on both switches). So, the lantern aligns ok in one direction but it doesn't rotate enough to align correctly when tripped the other way.  Is there an adjustment for this?

Taking the lantern off & setting back on in a different position doesn't solve it and the points appear to be thrown all the way in both directions. Engines & cars roll thru fine either direction.. The lantern just isn't rotating 90 degrees. I was wondering if it's something that can bit fixed?

(I have pic showing how far off it is but having trouble uploading... Will keep trying)

denwing,

I have 8 pairs on my multi level Christmas layout and every one of the lanterns lines up correctly, when the lantern is placed correctly to start with.  Some people are actually using a small drop of glue to keep the lanterns on correctly, however

so far I have not needed to do this glue drop additive either.

If you are talking about the lanterns not being absolutely perfectly straight with the track, I do have one that is not absolutely perfect, however it is in the correct attitude

with the switch movement.  Lantern Green light shows main line, Lantern Red light shows siding turn out.  The Green light in line with the switch shows the switch is thrown for main line running.

I have 8 FT switches.  None are off as far as the one in your photo, but none of them rotate 90.  I'm a little OCD and it drives me nuts.  They are usually right in one direction.  I try to get them all to be correct for main line running and then I don't have to see them wrong most of the time.  I hadn't thought to split the difference and glue them.  Thanks to the forumites suggesting that.  I may try it with some removable adhesive like silicone and see how I like it.

I have one like that.  Thought I had two, but it turns out (LOL get it?) that the lantern was not placed correctly by me when I popped it off by mistake.

I don't know what the deal is with the other one.  I do know that they unscrew easily from the bottom and can probably be adjusted a tooth or two from that access point.
