My layout is wired for both AC and DC using a CW80 and the fastrack 18v packs. I recently purchased an uncoupler section and it says AC. Many Lionel products with actually work on both AC and DC. Anyone know if DC would hurt this or not?

The uncouplers have been AC powered since their inception.
Running the uncouper with DC probably won't immediately burn it up, but it may run hotter and become magnetized.
The Fastrack OTC also supplies power to the operating cars which may have AC only mechanicals that will not be compatible with DC.
Bottom line, there are very few 3 rail items that are incompatible with AC (eg. a handful of sets form the '70s that are DC operated), but there are many many 3 rail items that are incompatible with DC including anything command control. I would drop the starter DC units (or relegate them to DC only lighting or what have you) and grow up into the AC world as has been the tradition for 3 Rail O Gauge for over a century. Lionel only went to DC on the recent starter sets as a cost reduction both in being able to use a cheaper power supply and reduce weight of shipping said power supply.
I think you'll find that the uncoupler will likely not be happy with DC! The inductance of the coil limits the current with AC, and they still get really hot after a few seconds of being energized. With DC at the same voltage, you'll be dissipating a lot more power in the coil.
