Hey all,

I got this idea after reading Jim Policastro's article on making cloth masks and attaching rock faces to them. This is very similar.

I used some felt and cut it to an irregular shape, spray painted it brown and then added various Woodland Scenics ground foams and bushes to it. You could make these to whatever size you needed and then just hot glue or attach with a spray adhesive to your table top.  The mats are quite flexible and you can add them to rolling hills or irregular terrain.

Gustav,

Very happy I was able to provide some inspiration. Looks great.

That method is also very useful when adding vegetation to steep hillsides. If you have trouble getting clump foliage, etc. to stick on those slopes, do the gluing on cloth mats like this right on the workbench. When dry, hot glue the mat to the hillside.

Can't wait to see what other toppings you put on your pizza (layout)!

Jim
