 REAL looking Street Lamps!

Stumbled upon two versions of real looking streetlamps on ebay. I never seen these in 1:50 and O anywhere before. They are from China which took a couple of days extra. Both operate on 3V DC with supplied resistors. I re-painted and modified one for the look I wanted. I needed the smaller version for the PlasticVille Turn Pike.

I’ve seen someone use H.O. track as a buss bar, nice idea, less wires.

Scale rail, you’re right about HO (or other scale) products that can be suitable for O.  I used HO street lights from Cornerstone Built Ups for station platform lights (photo).  I think they’re just the right size for that application.

Cornerstone makes a wide variety of HO lighting products, including wall lights that are suitable for O exterior building lights.  My friend, Dick B, taught me to look to other scales when you can’t find what you want in O.  Good advice.

Here's another idea. Banggood sells 10 HO LED street lights for $6.46. Simply cut the middle section off and add brass or plastic tubing that is longer than the HO version. Same as I did with the old Walthers brass street lights. I would airbrush them a flat dark green. You could also do the same with their gooseneck lamps. b53178cb-4952-48a7-b5bc-7a49ee2b0c08Donc74919e9-702d-4da0-bb68-1a574a0eb9fb
