Fixing the Pilot on Legacy F7s?

Simple answer .... YES it can be done

Thanks laidoff sick.  That is all I wanted to know.  I appreciate your help!  BTW, you are one of the nicest guys on this forum.

One thing to consider.  Since the front pilots have a gap due to not being attached to the frame, the pilot may as a result sit too high off the tracks if you mount them to the frame.  You'd probably want to form a spacer (shim) out of styrene or similar material that matches the contour of the front pilots, paint to match, & epoxy that between the pilot & frame; that will make sure the bottom of the pilots remain at the appropriate height from the rails.

I use a .100 sheet of styrene, trace the pilot onto that, cut it out, sand/file smooth, paint to match, and then mount with the pilot using screws.
