Guys,

How about this? Has anyone thought of modeling a miles long (scale miles) across the water the same way Henry Flagler did in his bridge to the Florida Keys? This would be absolutely awesome and would be quite a project..... Just thinking! It would be doable since it wouldn't actually involve any water!

You would have to paint the layout or something a water color and use a gray color to match concrete pilings from the 1920's. The track would be wood cross-ties, as that was used back then.

Might want to elevate the track to make it look like you are over the water.

Someone did this in HO- scratchbuilt the locos and all the bridges. IT was a shelf layout and displayed in Model Railroader.

What issue was it do you recall? Scalerail, good question? I suppose with a giant propeller like thingey they use for category 5 hurricanes!
