Flicker-free Lionel 607/608 coaches? | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I purchased some used Lionel 607/608 coaches for a custom painted project I am working on. I am pretty new to these "tinplate" trains and wondered if there was a retrofit I could use to replace the one-pickup, one-bulb lighting system in them. I was thinking perhaps a circuit with a capacitator that would help prevent flickering. Batteries are another option, but that would mean frequently removal of the roof (and the chance for battery leaks... which I would like to avoid).

Sure, put a strip of LED's in them powered by this module.
