Last year there was a November train meet in Palm Bay Florida. Does anyone know if it is being held this year and who the contact is?
Thanks

This is near Palm Bay
December 3: Azan Shrine Temple, 1591 W. Eau Gallie Blvd., Melbourne 32935
(Schultz Space Coast Trains, above)
Thanks but that is a different train show. The one I am looking for was in Palm Bay the week before the Melbourne show
There should be many train collectors/hobbyists in Florida as many in the NE train country relocate there. However, my train friends in FL report that train shows in Florida don't seem to go over particularly well. They claim that all they see are small shows offering a narrow selection of O gauge trains. I don't know why this is so but the lack of the critically important basement perhaps has a bearing on things. You cannot buy trains if you have no place to keep and run them..
Basement is not the issue. I live in Florida. The issue is not a whole lot of O scale at the shows and what you find most of the time is junk or is way overpriced. I go but I know what I looking for. The Train show in the Villages is good along with the 2 Tampa shows. There is a TCA event which is good but have no idea when the next one will be by Bradenton. Jacksonville, and Volusia Fair grounds are also good. The problem there are not enough of them and most of the time 3 hr drives one way.. Three years ago there were a lot of O scale venders. Now there are very few.

Your friends in Florida must not get around much. Here’s a photo from our recent TCA meet in Venice, Florida. As you can see there was plenty of O gauge there for sale as well as several operating layouts.
The recent non-TCA show in Deland also had quite a bit of O gauge on tables.
Plus we have many operating layouts despite the scarcity of basements.

It would have been nice to know about it. since that is less than a hour from my house. Went to that one last year and only reason I knew about was a forum member was nice enough to post it.

That same forum member was nice enough to post it here this year, too. Here’s the link to my posts of 9/2 and 9/7/16 which you must have missed:

This website lists shows from all states. Perhaps you will find it helpful:

Our show, RealRail Model Railroading, will be held at the Palmetto Convention Center Feb 25 & 26 2017. Just outside Bradenton.

Its to bad. Last year I found some stuff that was hard to find, especially in Florida. I had signed up for the mailing( Email) list but guess since not a TCA member nothing was mailed out.
