The larges subway never finished in the United States is in Cincinnati.  Bridges, stations, and retaining walls along the surface stretches deteriorated to such an extent that a few items actually collapsed. The underground portion of the subway is still maintained in case they ever want to rebuilt it for use. Construction stopped in 1927. I built a "O" scale ghost town for my new layout. I think it would be interesting to build the subway as is or as it should be finished. That is if you want to build something really different. Don
